Today is one of the coldest days that I’ve ever seen while living in Kokomo Indiana. With a negative 40 degree windchill, today isn’t a day to leave the house with a newborn if you can help it. So it’s fitting that we are currently packing up for today’s session, as we will be headed out this afternoon for an in-home newborn photography session in Lafayette.
In-home sessions are just for days like today. We load up the studio, travel to your home, setup up our lighting equipment, and hand you a variety of newborn photography props to choose from. We set up right in your living room or nursery, and pose your newborn with our traveling studio setup. You can sit back with a cup of coffee and enjoy the show or you can take a quick nap while we love on your little one. And when we are done, we have the opportunity to photograph you and your new babe in and around your home for some lifestyle images.
Here’s a shot of us setup in Baby Luca’s nursery just prior to shooting. See the crib and changing pad? Luca’s Mom and Dad chose to hang out downstairs for some quiet time while watching from the baby monitor.
It’s literally the best! You never have to leave home for those dreamy newborn portraits and you have everything that you need right at your finger tips. And on days like today, you can leave those cold frigid temperatures to us.
So today, I’d like to share Baby Luca’s in-home newborn session with you. He’s a cuuuuuute little fella that we met last month. We loaded up our props and traveled to Fishers Indiana, which is where quite a few of our clients are located. His Mom and Dad love travel and adventure, so Luca’s nursery was decorated with a mountain theme! I loooooved his wall decor, his Mom was especially fond of it as well. See some of our favorites from his session below.
