Leeland’s Newborn Story ~ Kokomo Indiana Newborn Photography

Can you say dream baby? Because that’s exactly what Leeland was. Can you say DREAM FAMILY? Because that’s exactly what the Andersons are. Every time I see them, usually #familygoals comes to mind. Their sessions are always a joy, so it’s no surprise that their newborn session was no different. They were among some of my first clients to visit the new Kokomo Indiana studio (coming all the way from Greenfield Indiana) and their daughter Esther was able to break in the new big kid center for siblings that visit the studio.

We were able to pose Leeland in so many different styles, including some new floral wraps that are now at the studio, an adorable baby turban, and we even were able to utilize some of the wildflowers down hill from the studio for some added outdoor portraits and color. Also, pregnant mamas definitely definitely have a glow. But so do new mamas, and Bethany was definitely sporting it that day. See their studio session below.

Baby Baker ~ A Newborn Story ~ Kokomo Indiana Newborn Photographer

In-home “studio” newborn sessions are the absolute best. Don’t get me wrong, I love my little studio in Kokomo Indiana and I love being able to create a happy and organized environment for my clients. But I also love having the opportunity to not only style a wee babe in fun outfits and poses with our traveling newborn studio, but also to be able to utilize a client’s home to preserve lifestyle images of their sweet babe in and around their natural environment. It’s literally the best of both worlds and you never have to leave home with baby, which I find a lot of parents love, especially during the winter months.

The Baker’s definitely win for style. Their aviation themed nursery and their airy modern home decor choices made for some gorgeous imagery.  They also had a fun idea that we were able to utilize last minute, this adorable toy plane! It was part of their nursery decor and we were able to do a little setup with Henry posed on top of it. See their session below.

The Jessica Newton Photography Studio ~ Kokomo Indiana

It’s here! The Jessica Newton Photography Studio in Kokomo Indiana is finally open!

The ribbon cutting ceremony was earlier this month and the new commercial video is complete. The studio’s primary use will be for newborn photography but also for wedding clients when we have our initial meetings and wedding day planning consultations. The video features a newborn session from start to finish and what the newborn experience with JNP looks like.

If you didn’t get to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony, be sure to check out the video for an in depth look at the what the studio looks like, what all a newborn baby session involves and what clients can expect when visiting.

Shane, Sarah, & Abraham – A Family Story – Kokomo, Indiana Photographer

Making video compilations has been my new favorite thing lately! Sarah & Shane are the eyes behind Hive & Honey Photography, and let me tell you, it is SUCH a huge deal when another photographer books me. Having another photographer trust me is the ultimate high five and I’m so happy to share their session with you today.

We spent our time together out at Mississinewa in Peru Indiana. It’s not far from Kokomo and I enjoy the small drive in the quiet. We were sooooo fortunate for amazing weather and for multiple locations that were just full of Queen Anne’s Lace and other wildflowers. Play their story below.

Margot’s Birth Story ~ Indianapolis Birth Photographer

You guys. I. saw. a. c-section. From start to finish. All of it, and they are nooooo joke. They demand bravery and strength like I’ve never seen. The procedure is brutal, the recovery is brutal, but that sweet bundle of joy in the end is all worth it. I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Bethany’s birth story, as she welcomed their daughter Margo Sunshine into the world via c-section. In the early early hours of the morning, I drove from Kokomo Indiana to Carmel Indiana to witness a new little miracle being born at IU North. I was allllllll nerves you guys. And here is the result. I’ve said it once, twice, a hundred times. Births are my absolute passion and I don’t know why I didn’t start shooting them sooner. I hope to be filling the internet with a lot more of this kind of beauty soon.

The Anderson Family Maternity Story ~ Kokomo, Noblesville, Indianapolis Photographer

The Anderson Family is back, but this time, with another little one in tow! We spent Bethany, Graham and big sister Esther’s family maternity photography session in Downtown Noblesville. We knew that we wanted to stop at Alexander’s Ice-cream Shop on the square, but a surprise was waiting just around the corner.

There is this little wall covered in vines, hidden back behind the shops. I’ve been there a few times but I had no idea that it was a flowering vine. Sure enough, we walk around the corner, and it’s covered in gorgeous red flowers. Which just so happened to be the color of Bethany’s maternity dress. Fate right?!

Overall the color and theme of their session couldn’t have matched up more perfectly. Bethany did a fabulous job styling their wardrobe and it matched literally every location we decided on using.

Check out the floral vine below(and our ice-cream shenanigans too).

Emily & John’s Engagement Story ~ Kokomo, Indiana Wedding Photographer

Is there anything in the world as sweet as finding your love? Emily and John are tying the knot in October, and their kind demeanor and attitudes are certainly as sweet. We had some fun on Wildcat Creek in Kokomo and their engagement session just sings with summer love. Check out my favorites below <3

Mallory & Alan ~ Carriage Manor Estate & Milestone Event Center Wedding ~ Peru Indiana Wedding Photographer

My goodness, what can I say. This wedding was just FULL of charm. Mallory’s gorgeous champagne wedding dress combined with her bridesmaids french lilac gowns made for a stunning combination. Set at Peru, Indiana’s infamous Carriage Manor Estate or “Wallick Mansion” as it’s know by the locals, we were able to roam the property for some of the most gorgeous bride and groom portraits.

With the wedding ceremony held at the Milestone Event Center at Grissom Air Force Base, the ceremony had a lovely green backdrop with plenty of seating for family and friends. Alan’s reaction after the first kiss was priceless and left many of the guests in laughing fits.

My favorite part of the wedding? During the toasts, Mallory’s bridesmaid ended her speech, toasting to the Bride & Groom, and surprising Mallory with a “first dance” of their own. Their dance ended with an emotional joy filled circle of bridesmaids all dancing together. It was a Joy FULL day for sure and I’m so honored that I was able to be there for you Mallory and Alan! Congrats!

Thank you sooooo much to Jamie Nicole Scott of Jamie Nicole Scott Photography for 2nd shooting with me!

Hewitt Family Session – Gender Announcement – Kokomo Indiana Photographer

Gender Announcements are on the rise in the photography world and it’s not hard to see why. Telling your family and friends the gender of your new wee babe via a photography session is a unique way to spill the beans but also a way to preserve the memories at the same time.

The Hewitt family came dressed to impress. At least to impress me anyway 😉 I absolutely adore their color choices, with pops of bright purple and pink mixed with the summer flowers. These color choices show up incredibly well with my editing style and add so much to the feel of the photos. I forgot to ask, but if I had to guess, Michelle is probably wearing a pink blush maternity gown because they are know for their style and bright modern maternity outfits.

Sarah & Tyler – A Charley Creek Inn Wedding – Wabash Indiana

Sarah & Tyler are probably two of the most majestic people that I’ve ever met. Their sense of vintage style, their elegant but relaxed poise, their soft spoken words, it all makes you sigh into a sense of calm. Their loving demeanor towards their family, especially towards their nieces and nephews, will leave you feeling heart-full. Sarah’s creative side inspired much of her wedding, including her gorgeous vintage styled veil, which was made from an heirloom piece of her mother’s wedding dress.

So I’ll be sharing some of my favorites from their classic wedding, held at the charming Charley Creek Inn in Central Indiana. I think their letter swap is at the top of my favorite moments from the day. Sarah shared with me that the journal that Tyler wrote in, is a journal that they started at the beginning of their dating relationship, and they have continue writing in it to each other ever since. So it was only fitting that Tyler returned the journal to Sarah on their wedding day, with another love note before they saw each other down the aisle. Take a look below.
